What to expect when you commission handmade Portuguese tiles, from the first conversation to delivery.
Almost everything: the design (your own pattern or one of ours), the size and shape, the hand-painted colour palette, the finish (gloss, matte or satin), the edge detail and the intended application, from walls and floors to interiors and covered exteriors.
There are four steps. You share your vision in a free design consultation, we design your tile and send a digital preview for approval, our artisans handcraft it in Portugal, and your tiles are carefully packed and delivered to you.
Yes. Our designers send a digital preview of your pattern, colours and layout, and production begins only after you have approved it.
Every commission is quoted individually, because price and timing depend on the design, size, number of colours, finish and quantity. Your designer confirms both with you before production begins.
Send us photos and measurements of the tile you would like to match, and our design team will advise how closely it can be reproduced by hand. Because every tile is hand-painted, the result is a faithful interpretation rather than a factory copy.
Custom and special-order tiles are made to order for you, so they are non-returnable. That is why every design is approved as a digital preview before production. Tiles damaged in transit are replaced at no cost when reported within 7 days of delivery, with photos.
